Welcome to Global Impact Youth Academy (“GIYA”). These Terms and Conditions govern access to and use of the GIYA website, platform, and courses. By using the site or enrolling in a course, the user agrees to these Terms and Conditions. If these terms are not accepted, the site and services should not be used.

Eligibility

  • GIYA is designed primarily for learners aged 4 to 18+. Parents or legal guardians must enrol and supervise learners under the age of 18 where required.
  • Users must provide accurate, complete, and current information during sign-up. Failure to do so may result in suspension or termination of access.

Access to Services

Upon successful registration and payment, users receive access to the relevant GIYA course or digital learning content purchased.
  • GIYA’s digital courses.
  • Interactive lessons, quizzes, and educational resources.
  • Community features, where available.
  • All content is delivered online and self-paced. GIYA does not provide live teaching or personal tutoring unless otherwise specified.

Acceptable Use

Users agree to use GIYA’s platform and materials only for lawful educational purposes:
  • Users may not copy, share, redistribute, resell, or misuse GIYA content without prior written permission.
  • Respect the privacy and intellectual property of other users.
  • Refrain from copying, sharing, or redistributing program content without explicit permission.
  • Avoid engaging in abusive, unlawful, or inappropriate behavior while using the platform.
Violation of these terms may result in the immediate termination of your access to GIYA’s services.

Intellectual Property

  • All content on the GIYA platform, including videos, curriculum, branding, graphics, and written materials, is owned by GIYA and protected by South African copyright law and international intellectual property treaties.
  • Users may not reproduce, distribute, modify, or create derivative works from any GIYA content without prior written consent.

Payments & Subscriptions

  • Pricing, billing terms, and subscription details for each course are displayed on the relevant course page or at checkout.
  • Payments are processed securely through Paystack and Stripe, both of which are industry-standard payment processors ensuring secure transactions.
  • Users may cancel their subscription at any time. No refunds will be issued for accessed content.
  • GIYA is not responsible for errors, failures, or breaches occurring at the payment processor level.

Program Changes

  • GIYA reserves the right to update, modify, or discontinue any program, lesson, or feature at its sole discretion to improve quality or functionality. Users will retain access to any paid-for content.

Limitation of Liability

  • GIYA is an educational platform. We do not guarantee specific academic performance, employment opportunities, or business success resulting from participation in our programs.
  • Under no circumstances will GIYA be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of our platform.

Payment Processors

  • Paystack: Provides secure payment processing for users primarily in African regions.
  • PayPal: Offers secure and reliable payment services for users globally.
  • Both platforms employ industry-standard security protocols and are compliant with international standards for financial data protection.
